WHO QUALIFIES?
The ECO4 scheme is designed to help households that need it most — which is why eligibility is based on annual income, benefits, health conditions, home owners and private renters only:

receiving ECO4 support doesn’t affect your benefits. It’s a government-backed scheme, not financial aid — just free home improvements.
INCOME BENEFITS
Income benefits are one of the ways to qualify, this can be anyone living in the property.
HEALTH/PRESCRIPTION
This has gotten more lenient over the years of the grant existing:
- cardiovascular
- respiratory
- limited mobility - (spinal or leg injury)
- auto immune (thyroid, skin issues)
- adhd and some other mental conditions are now being considered.
HOUSEHOLD INCOME
A household income of £31,000 or less qualifies.
GBIS
The great British insulation scheme.
this is a sub scheme of eco4 that allows you to qualify for cavity wall insulation and loft insulation as long as you are on a income benefit or have a council tax band of ( A - D ).

SOCIAL HOUSING
Social housing properties do not qualify for the grant, that's the same for council houses and housing associations
PROPERTY CONDITIONS
Any property we survey has to be habitable, due to it being a domestic grant we have to make sure the property is in the right condition.
